PLAN YOUR VISIT TO DANCING GRAIN
Dancing Grain is a working grain farm and brewery located in Gansevoort, New York. We welcome visitors to enjoy the land, the seasons, and the shared experience of spending time outdoors on a real Upstate New York farm.
Whether you’re planning a family outing, meeting friends, or looking for a relaxed place to spend an afternoon, our farm offers open space, fresh air, and a rotating calendar of seasonal activities.
During the winter months, Dancing Grain becomes a place to get outside and enjoy the season. Weather permitting, visitors can expect:
Trails and hills are maintained by the farm and shared by the community. Conditions vary based on snowfall and temperature.

A crowd of Bills fans, plenty of room to breathe, and none of the chaos of hosting at home. Why trash your living room when you can make a mess on the farm?
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for game-day details, food trucks, and kickoff times.

We work with a growing network of New York family farms to make everything you enjoy here possible. The Beer CSA is how that work continues year-round — strengthening local agriculture and shaping a more intentional future for craft beer.

For those who want to take a piece of Dancing Grain home, our shop offers thoughtfully made merch and memberships — simple ways to stay connected to the farm, the beer, and the moments shared here.
From everyday wear to future visits, each item is designed to carry the spirit of this place beyond the taproom.
Interested in learning how our beer goes from field to glass? Join us for our Free Friday Night Brewery Tours, offered every Friday evening during regular hours.
These casual, guided tours take you behind the scenes of a working farm brewery — from the grains we grow in our fields to the brewhouse where they become beer. You’ll learn how we farm, brew, and make decisions differently than most craft breweries, with plenty of time for questions and conversation along the way.
No reservations required. No minimum group size. Just show up, grab a beer if you’d like, and join the tour. Tours are not age-gated, we believe education is appropriate at all ages.
Prefer to explore on your own? Our self-guided, fully immersive farm walk is always available during normal hours and is completely free.
And looking ahead: Flower U-Pick season begins July 4, featuring farm-grown flowers, seasonal experiences, and all the beauty of summer on the farm.

You don’t need much to have a good day here — just a reason to come, someone you enjoy, and maybe a dog who loves the snow.
Here’s what to know before you head out:
We’re family- and dog-friendly (with leash rules), and offer wide-open space, farm views, and plenty of parking. Enjoy rotating food trucks, house-made N/A seltzers and slushies, local wines, ciders, and seasonal cocktails. Our taproom and porch are ADA accessible. Scroll down for more answers to your frequently asked questions or call the taproom if your question isn’t answered below.
YES! We’re a family-friendly establishment, and children are always welcome. Because this is a working farm and brewery, please keep little ones under adult supervision at all times for their safety. While running is prohibited in the taproom, porch, and terrace, we do welcome “controlled chaos” in our upcoming play pen for children ages 6 and up—no dogs allowed in that area. Follow us for more updates!
Yes, ample parking and turnaround space, so join us even if you have something in tow. Please follow the signs and do not block turnarounds.
We wouldn’t coin #BrewsAndViews if we didn’t! There’s a mix of Adirondack chairs and farm tables to accommodate many guests. A covered porch, patio with sun sails, and wide open picnic tables in the sun – all available on a first-come basis. Take a walk through our fields and learn about our grain-to-glass farm brewery!
Yes! We have a variety of house made seltzers, dye-free slushies, and rotating local non-alcoholic beverages.
Yes, we carry a variety of wines and hard ciders, as well as a few select farm-batch cocktails made with Cooperstown Distillery whiskey and Springbrook Distillery vodka. Our menu is always fresh and changes seasonally, so check with our beer tenders.
Our main taproom and porch are handicap accessible with door openings and restrooms that are ADA compliant. We regret that our yard and farm tours are not handicap accessible with rough terrain you typically find ON working farms.
Check out our calendar on our events page for our rotating lineup of food trucks. We have freshly popped popcorn available for purchase but we don’t have an in-house kitchen. We allow you to bring food with you, but we don’t have wait service, so please pick up after yourself.
YES! We offer private and semi private events, as well as table reservations for a deposit. Email Farrah@dancinggrain.com for events and call the taproom for reservations (518) 808.3432.
We are a smoke free facility and we strictly enforce no smoking on our farm. If you must smoke, please do so by your car and dispose of your trash – littering is bad for the environment, our farmland, and adds cost to our operation, please respect our smoking policy and enjoy nature at its best!
We’re glad you asked! Due to the small batch sustainable nature of our operation, our beer is not widely distributed. You can find us at the Spa City Farmer’s Market on Sundays beginning in May as well as on draft at Cooperstown Distillery, The Local, and Henry St Taproom in Saratoga Springs, and South PAW in Glens Falls. Cheers to #GreatBeerGrownHere.
We distribute our kegs and cans on a case-by-case basis, please reach out to info@dancinggrain.com for details.
