Dancing Grain’s Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire

One epic winter fire, a brand-new farm-brewed IPA, and a night your crew, your beer geek friends, and your kids will talk about until spring – Dancing Grain’s Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire is here!

This year, we’re turning up the heat — and the beat.

Get ready to burn, baby, burn at South Glens Falls’ most fire-tastic fundraiser: our Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire, now in its third smokin’ year!

We’re going full DISCO INFERNO — so throw on your sparkliest snowsuit, fluff that fro, and come dressed to sleigh. (Costume ideas: Saturday Night Tree-ver, John Tree-volta, or Glitter Garland Grrrl.) The only thing hotter than your outfit will be the towering pile of over 100 Christmas trees going up in flames, courtesy of the South Glens Falls Fire Department — the team that works 24/7, 365 to keep us safe.

🎄 Got a real tree? We want it.

Before the fire gets lit — we need your Christmas tree to fuel the flame.
We’re aiming for 100+ trees, and you can help us hit that goal.

👉 Drop off your tree between Dec 26 and Jan 10 at 2PM
📍 Dancing Grain Farm Brewery, 180 Old West Rd
💵 Suggested donation: $10 (cash box on-site)

No ornaments. No bags. Just your bare tree. 100% of your donation helps support the South Glens Falls Fire Department — and your tree becomes part of the biggest, wildest community bonfire of the year.

What’s Going Down:

Over 100 trees lit in a safe, epic blaze
Disco dancing under a giant disco ball
Raffles, food trucks, and our new Disco Inferno IPA
Sledding (BYOS + sign waiver)
Food provided by 80K Upstate Street Plates

Spread the Word. Bring the Tree. Dancing Grain’s Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire is on!

Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell your neighbor with four trees.
If it’s real and used to be in your living room — we’ll take it. Follow our socials and the Saratoga Dispatch for updated information too!

No tree? Come anyway. Got a tree? Bring it early, donate $10, and come watch it burn.

Meet the New IPA — Crop Circles: Disco Inferno

Juicy waves of mango, overripe orange, and tropical candy hit first, followed by a deep, dank backbone of sticky pine and fresh-cut resin. Vista brings bright citrus lift, Copper adds earthy depth, and Simcoe anchors the beer with classic dank intensity. Mosaic Terp Sauce amplifies the aroma with saturated tropical punch. Soft malt keeps everything lush and drinkable, finishing bold, aromatic, and unmistakably juicy-dank.

If you’re the kind of person who believes a Double IPA should be loud, sticky, and unapologetically dank — this is your beer. Taps flow at 3 pm.  Limited can sales (for off premise consumption only).  Preorder through our online store.

FOR THE LAND, FOR THE SPIRIT

We don’t just burn trees for fun—we burn them with purpose. The ash from the bonfire returns to our soil.
That soil grows the barley that becomes your beer. Your retired Christmas tree becomes part of next year’s harvest. Yes, we’re lighting up a massive pile of trees — but it’s more than just fire and fun. Learn more below!

Every Tree Already Did Its Job

The trees we burn are real, natural evergreens. During their life cycle, they helped capture carbon dioxide, filtered air, and supported healthy ecosystems. By giving them a final purpose in this community event, we close the loop in a meaningful way.

Controlled Burn = Responsible Use

All trees are free of chemicals, ornaments, or plastics, and the fire is conducted by the South Glens Falls Fire Department under safe, controlled conditions — minimizing emissions and ensuring community safety.

From Fire to Field

After the fire, the potash (natural ash from burned wood) is collected and spread across local fields. Potash is rich in potassium and trace minerals — giving back nutrients to the soil and helping future crops grow stronger.

Low-Waste Event Planning

We encourage carpooling, bring-your-own-mug for drinks, and reusable warm gear. Vendors are invited to use compostable or recyclable materials.

Giving Back Locally

Your tree and donation go straight to support the South Glens Falls Fire Department — helping them keep the community safe year-round.

This means your tree doesn’t just go out in a blaze of glory — it becomes part of a full ecological cycle, from forest to fire to field. Winter magic, closed-loop style.
